Besides the famous and well known “Mount Hope” cemetery in Rochester New York, exist numerous other grave sites both known as well as those which have been long forgotten and covered by overgrowth.
And yet, regardless of how established or forgotten any particular grave site may be, the fact that such sites had been used to bury the dead will always make that particular section of land hallowed ground.
A place where the soul of the departed will always frequent more than any other section of land because of where the body had been entered into an earthen womb in becoming a part of natures cycle of death and renewal.
The passage of time will never erase the lands remembrance of those who lie embraced within its essence nor does any soul ever forget its final resting place.
This picture is a reminder of such truth, where ghostly eyes appear at the side of a gravestone. Watching me as I stood and captured this image.
It may be accurately considered that when visiting the site of any hallowed ground that you may fully expect to be closely watched by those who are its ghostly inhabitants. Where it is suggested to be always respectful and not to disturb the natural setting and calm of any grave site.
Because you never know who may be watching.

People who desecrate graves ought to be forced by law to repair and maintain such property in a chain gang style work group the length of their sentence.
I think it is a crying shame the present state of our many cemeteries because of shortages in funding and vandalism caused by societies lowlifes.
Dear admin, thnx for taking a stand on behalf of cemeteries everywhere.
Any site which carries the remains of the deceased should always be considered hallowed grounds.
Could not agree more.
